Use a set of radio release keys — or a flat-head screwdriver in a pinch — to release the trim surround around the unit, then slide it forward. No wires need disconnecting at any point.
Once it’s out, look on the casing for a white label showing a 14-character serial starting with SEZ, such as SEZ1Z3F6412082 or SEZAZ2L1958512. The serial isn’t shown on screen on any Seat model, so removing the unit is always the route here.
Worth knowing: a capital I and the digit 1 look almost identical on some labels, and mixing them up is a common reason a code doesn’t work first time — double-check before submitting.

Entering the Code on Your Seat
Switch on the radio until the display shows SAFE or a code entry prompt. Use the preset buttons to set each digit — press button 1 repeatedly for the first digit, button 2 for the second, and so on through buttons 3 and 4. Each press cycles the number up by one, so keep going until the digit you need appears.
Once all four digits are correct, confirm using the button combination shown in your radio’s manual — commonly a held preset or a combination such as RDS and SCAN — and the unit should unlock straight away.
